Winchester, Salisbury & Windsor Xmas Markets

Winchester, Salisbury and Windsor Christmas Markets

Friday 5 December 2025 (3 Days)

WINCHESTER CHRISTMAS MARKET is known around the world as one of the best Christmas markets in the UK thanks to its historic Medieval location, German-style wooden chalets and high-quality produce
This popular Christmas event attracts more than 400,000 visitors per year, with many people visiting from around the region of Hampshire but also from further afield.
At Winchester’s heart is the Medieval Winchester Cathedral and this is where you’ll find the city’s Christmas market. It’s held in the Inner Close which is the area behind the cathedral if you’re coming from the high street.

SALISBURY CHRISTMAS MARKET
From unique gifts to delicious treats, the Salisbury Christmas Market has plenty of opportunities to get into the holiday spirit. Enjoy browsing through the many stalls and vendors offering food, crafts, and entertainment.
Be sure to try the locally brewed hot mulled wine while watching one of the many live performances while children meet Santa and play on the rides.
Salisbury is especially beautiful in winter, with its cobbled streets, historic buildings, and festive decorations. The Christmas markets in Salisbury are particularly popular, offering traditional handmade crafts and unique locally produced gifts.

WINDSOR
Shopping is one of the top reasons to come to the Royal Borough of Windsor.  Browse our pedestrian-only shopping centres and our shop-lined streets offering shoppers a great mixture of high-street names and independent retailers.  Of course, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to stop for a 'refuel' and people watch!  Shopping in Windsor  really is something else!

If you wish, you will have time to visit Windsor Castle and visitors to Windsor Castle will see the State Apartments transformed with shimmering Christmas trees, twinkling lights, festive garlands and a spectacular table display in the Waterloo Chamber, one of the largest and most impressive rooms in the Castle. The Semi-State Rooms, the opulent private apartments originally created for George IV, also open from 23 November for the winter months.

Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It is open to visitors throughout the year.
Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 40 monarchs.
The Castle includes the State Apartments that are used today by the Royal Family, the historical rooms that were built for Charles II and private apartments created for George IV. There are many famous, must-see moments within these spectacular rooms, like the colossal Waterloo Chamber, magnificent Crimson Drawing Room and impressive Grand Staircase.

Have you ever wanted to attend a royal wedding? In the grounds of Windsor Castle you can find St George’s Chapel, a 500-year-old medieval marvel. Step inside the Chapel and you can glimpse where many royal weddings have taken place including HRH Princess Eugenie and Mr Jack Brooksbank.
It is also where many monarchs are buried including Henry VIII, Charles I and Queen Elizabeth II.
St George’s Chapel is open for visitors on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and for worshippers only on Sunday.

Entry to Windsor Castle is approx.. £28.  We will take bookings nearer the time for those who wish
